AZaZel is Absolutely a Nightmare
AZaZel (Azazel) is a extremely annoying randsom virus. It is such a malicious program that encrypts victim users' files (including all images, pdf files, rar files and setups...) and blocks their access to the files. By requiring the victims to pay money for file decryption, AZaZel can easily help its designers profit, just like what other irritating ransom viruses such as HowDecrypt, Crytolocker, Cryptowall and TeslaCrypt etc do out there.
* Once executed on the computer, AZaZel starts encrypting files that are thought important for the user.
* AZaZel modifies relevant settings and flashes a blackmail message on the screen when the operation completes.
* This ransomware is deemed to be developed in .NET and has keylogging functionality.
* It can terminate the activity of certain tools in windows constantly. So affected users may have difficulties using Task Manager, CMD, Regedit, msconfig, PowerShell, Windows Backup or System Restore.
AZaZel ransomware pops up a message on your screen, telling that All your important files are encrypted and you need to pay a sum of money for the code to decryption. It warns that changing the name of any encrypted file will cause the file locked forever. This nuisance may also leave you a text file teaching you how to get the file code (usually you will be required to visit some certain website and fill the blank and follow its steps).
You Are not Going to Pay for AZaZel
You may wonder whether it is time to say goodbye to all of the infected files or anyone has any idea what to do to decrypt them. Never be taken in! Actually, computer experts haven't found a good way with efficiency to fix this issue. And speaking from experience, users won't get the key that supposedly given after payment. So paying the ransom will definitely result in financial loss and other problems.
