Recently Update Checker has been complained by many computer users. What is it? it is classified as a nasty adware which is aimed to target the web browsers like Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari, etc.
Once it gets itself installed, Update Checker will always pop up a window to remind you to get an update for your software like video player, flash player, media player, etc. surely this is not the real update message. however, if you try to exit out the fake page, it can block your web browsers and download itself automatically even though you did click the "x" button. Some users may not familiar with computers and follow the pop-up ads, more unwanted programs will get the chance to sneak into your computer instead of getting the real update.
