How to Remove Fixmypc247.com Pop-up - Remove "Fix My PC" From the Computer

Help! Popups and IE opening. I have a fairly new computer that I bought for my daughter. Tonight it started having popups and Internet Explorer opening up. The popup says Your PC may be at Risk, Check for Malware and Registry Issues. The IE browser is pointed to fixmypc247.com. I have run scans with avast and malwarebytes. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I hope I do everything right.

Fixmypc247.com is an unwanted pop-up webpage which can slip into the computer without users' permission and awareness. Once gets into the computer, Fixmypc247.com will change the browsers setting on browsers including Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Internet Explorer. When you open the browser, Fixmypc247.com can pop up on your browser automatically without any consent. This webpage aims to promote the Fix My PC application.


Fix My PC claims to be an optimization tool that enhance the performance of computer. It states to protect the privacy, tune up speed, fix registry errors, cleans dump files and removes data clutter. However, it is found to be a rogue antivirus program which is similar to A1 PC Cleaner.Once gets into the computer, Fix My PC will change the computer setting. When you start the computer, Fix My PC will run automatically at the background without any consent. When you launch on the desktop, it will start a Windows service and pop up on your screen without your permission. Fix My PC will show a lot of false warning pop-ups on your screen when you work on the PC.

However, you should not believe in the misleading warning pop-ups.This is a self-extracting archive and installer and has been known to bundle potentially unwanted software. It can connect to the Internet in order to request data and download files. It is suggested to uninstall Fix My PC as soon as possible. And it is recommended to keep a powerful and well-known antivirus program like Spyhunter to protect your computer.

Instruction to remove Fix My PC

Method 1: Manual removal


Step 1: Press CTRL+ALT+DEL or CTRL+SHIFT+ESC to open Windows Task Manager and close all the related running processes.

  


Step 2: Remove Fix My PC from control panel.

1) On the Start menu (for Windows 8, right-click the screen's bottom-left corner), click Control Panel.

 


Windows Vista/7/8: Click Uninstall a Program.
Windows XP: Click Add or Remove Programs.


2) When you find the program Fix My PC, click it, and then do one of the following:

Windows Vista/7/8: Click Uninstall.
Windows XP: Click the Remove or Change/Remove tab (to the right of the program).

Step 3 Go to the Registry Editor and remove all the infection registry entries listed here:
