When I launch Chrome, I am getting a 2nd window from hXtp://comcast.whiteskyservices.com/partnerportal/comcast/extensions/chrome/install.aspx asking me to install a Chrome Extension to make Chrome play nice with Comcast's xFinity Constant Guard Protection. There's no such extension listed on Chrome's extensions site. Can anyone advise as to its legitimacy? If it is a phishing expedition or worse, how do I kill what's spawning the tab asking me to install it?
I think the name of the hijacker issearch.whiteskyservices.com. It continues to redirect me away from Google, etc.
A second tab opens once Chrome starts calling to install the WhiteSkyServices update for Chrome. Is it phishing? Is my computer infested? What can I do to kill it for good? How do I get rid of whiteSkyServices.com tab that appears every time I open chrome
Why do I keep getting a pop-up that wants to install FCPS Extension for Chrome??Is this a Google product or something associated with my Comcast account? It seems that it will change my browser to "White Sky". ????
In this post, there will be the removal tips for reference.
